According to UNESCO there are 98 indigenous languages in Russia, which are at risk of disappearing within the next 50 years. The project “Immortal Natives” was launched to learn, preserve and teach these languages using A.I. I shot this short little film about the ancient tribe Nganasan of the Taymyr Peninsula in northern Siberia. Nganasan have 23 unique words for reindeer and only 125 people are left that speak the language.
